As a leading manufacturer of honing products, Shanghai Honing has a strong R&D department and advanced manufacturing facilities that promote our development. Our three large workshops that cover a total area of about 2,000 square meters, are specifically outfitted for metalworking, stone processing and assembly.

The metalworking workshop is equipped with advanced manufacturing equipment, including a machining center, CNC lathes, and CNC drilling machines. It mainly processes honing tools and machine parts.

The second workshop is used to process stones with reliable equipment, including mixers, heat presses, high-frequency welders and driers. They are all operated by our skilled staff, ensuring our products have excellent quality levels.

The assembly workshop is designed to assemble different honing machines and tools. All parts that are processed by the metalworking workshop will be sent here for the final assembly and debugging. All processes are carried out by our skilled technicians and mechanics.

Client: Xuzhou Xu Gong Hydraulic Component Co., Ltd.

Products: Crane Cylinders

Materials: 27SiMn

Problem: The client was using an overseas brand honing machine to process crane cylinders. However, the cylinders were getting scratched by the machine.

Analysis Result: After a thorough on-site inspection and analysis, our technicians discovered the scratches were the result of an overly hard stone. It had very little peeling and it was not easy for chips to be discharged.

Solution: Because the 27SiMn has a tendency to stick to chips, we have developed a new CBN stone that is easier to peel off and more durable in comparison with a common alumina stones. The use of the CBN stone solved the scratch problems. As it has a long service life, it does not require frequent replacement, and the working efficiency of the honing machine is overall improved.
